ScientificAchievements

ProfessorDaolin Xu has been engaged in nonlinear dynamics study for a long time. His researchfield is related to vehicle vibration, dynamic analysis of very large floatingstructure, vibration and noise reduction of ship mechanical system, etc. Morethan 100 papers have been published, in which the number of SCI paper is morethan 80. Papers have now been cited over 2200 times by other researchers. The internationalacademic influence factor (Hirsch Index) is 24. The main contribution innonlinear dynamics study is opening up a new research field called ChaosProjective Synchronization. This work was highly applauded by its internationalpeers and obtained IEEE Best Paper Award in 2004. Most of the studies arepublished prestigious international journals, such as field of nonlineardynamics: Physical Review E, Chaos, Nonlinear Dynamics, Physics Letters A,Chaos Solitons & Fractals; filed of mechanical vibration:Proceedings of the Rotal Society A-Mathematical Physical and EngineeringSciences, Journal of Applied Mechanics, Journal of Sound and Vibration; fieldof ocean engineering: Journal of Fluid and Structures, Ocean Engineering,Energy, etc.
